January 10, 2017
With nearly two decades of City Hall and advocacy experience, Tracey Chavira has been named Associate Vice President at Cerrell Associates. Working with the firm’s leadership, Tracey will manage the firm’s extensive Los Angeles City Hall client roster covering a wide range of important public policy issues.
“We are thrilled that Tracey, supported by the seven other members of our Local Government and Land Use teams, will lead our efforts at Los Angeles City Hall and with key Los Angeles City departments,” said Cerrell Chairman Hal Dash. “Tracey has extensive knowledge of City government and deep relationships at every level of City government. We look forward to many more client successes with Tracey running our City Hall practice,” Hal added.
Tracey has more than 19 years of government and political experience working for four Los Angeles City Councilmembers, plus serving as Director of Government and Member Relations at the Central City Association of Los Angeles (CCA). Her combined experience in local government, as well as her time on Capitol Hill, gives her a unique perspective on policy and political issues and guides her on winning strategies for clients. During her two and a half years at Cerrell, Tracey has handled client issues ranging from the new economy to energy.
I'm excited to take on this expanded leadership role and honored to continue the legacy of dynamic advocacy and civic engagement started by our founder, the legendary Joe Cerrell,” said Tracey.
