At the 2016 Public Relations Society of America – Los Angeles Chapter PRism awards, Cerrell’s “Shop with Your Doc” program won the top prize in the Events & Observance – Healthcare and Public Service – Nonprofits categories.
For the third straight year, we worked with Orange County-based St. Joseph Health to bring the “Shop with Your Doc” anti-obesity campaign to communities across the county. The events, led by Vice President of PR Dan Loeterman, send doctors into local supermarkets to help shoppers make healthier choices, and the campaign earned broad media coverage in the Los Angeles Times, NPR, Univision, Agence France-Presse (AFP) and other local and national outlets.
“Shop with Your Doc” has been widely recognized as an innovative, hands-on approach to public education around healthy eating and diabetes. Now it has the hardware to show for it.
Over the last 50 years, Cerrell has built a reputation of developing impactful programs that raise awareness and change minds – and earn industry recognition. As “Shop with Your Doc” proved, 2016 was no exception. Congratulations to St. Joseph Health, and the Cerrell team of Dan, Jason Levin, Sierra Griffin and Wendy Villalta.
