Congratulations to our client Sempra U.S Gas and Power on receiving approval for their new Copper Mountain 3 solar project. The 250 megawatt project provides 210 of solar power to the City of Los Angeles and 40 megawatts to the city of Burbank. The project is located in Boulder City, Nevada and situated on about 1,400 acres of desert land.
Construction on the 250-megawatt (MW) solar project is expected to begin 2014, creating about 300 construction jobs. Once completed, the solar plant will be capable of generating enough electricity to power about 80,000 homes throughout Southern California.
