Crystal Litz

Crystal Litz joined Cerrell Associates Inc. after more than 18 years as a political and public affairs consultant.  In her role as Vice President, Crystal helps oversee and grow the firm’s award winning Campaign and Issues Management practice.  

A respected strategist and manager, Crystal has experience working in more than 30 states and throughout Canada.  She has directed statewide ballot initiative campaigns, legislative issue campaigns, and political races ranging from municipal to state legislative to federal office.  Crystal has managed some of the most competitive races in the country and has scored victories for a variety of clients including labor unions, interest groups, state and local political party organizations and corporations. 

Crystal brings to CAI expertise in numerous areas including management consulting, crisis communications, coalition building, real estate/land use, branding and market protection strategies, public affairs and grassroots organizing.  

Prior to joining CAI, Crystal owned and operated her own consulting firm, Clean Slate Consulting, based in New York, NY.  Her clients included non-profit organizations, political candidates and elected officials, as well as health care organizations and advocacy groups.  In 2010, Crystal developed the statewide communications, outreach and electoral program for Education Voters of Pennsylvania.  She also provided political consulting services to clients in New York City municipal elections.  Previously, Crystal was a division manager at the Saint Consulting Group, overseeing grassroots and grasstops coalition building projects for corporate clients in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, Utah, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, South Dakota, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and Arizona. 

A Kentucky native, Crystal graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a degree in Communications.  She attended the George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management as well as political trainings conducted by the Democratic National Committee, Women’s Political Campaign Fund and Emily’s List.  She was selected to participate in the Executive Education program at Harvard Business School completing “Leading Professional Service Firms”, an intensive course for senior level consulting executives, and “Program on Negotiation – Dealing with an Angry Public” at Harvard Law School.
