Steve Levin
Steve Levin is a Vice President in the Campaigns and Issues Management practice at Cerrell Associates.
An attorney by training, Steve previously worked at a strategic communications consulting firm in Los Angeles, where he focused on strategy and messaging for clients across a variety of business sectors, including energy, utilities, automotive, travel and tourism and gaming. He has developed and implemented comprehensive communications strategies that have incorporated such diverse elements as public opinion research, coalition-building, media monitoring and media relations, campaign management, litigation support, and paid, earned and social media. Steve collaborated with an international team to create an issues management, crisis communications and media relations program for the Shanghai World Expo. He also worked as a vice president at Southern California-based political consulting firm specializing in ballot measure campaigns, where he co-managed several high-profile statewide ballot measure campaigns.
Steve also worked as the Political Reform Project Director at the Center for Governmental Studies, a non-profit, non-partisan research organization in Los Angeles, and at a political and election law firm in San Francisco, where he represented candidates, committees, non-profit organizations and corporations on a variety of political and election law issues. Steve has published numerous articles and reports about campaign finance law, and political and electoral reform.
Steve received his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School and his Bachelor of Arts in Politics and a Certificate in Spanish from Princeton University. He is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Mandarin Chinese.
